WPA-Supplicant Operation

This document describes the general usage of the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) Supplicant package. The term supplicant refers to the client device that wishes to attach to the LAN/WLAN or a client device that provides credentials to the authenticator server. The host that runs the authenticator server typically supports EAP and/or RADIUS protocols. The authenticator will not allow the supplicant to access the protected LAN/WLAN network if the supplicant fails to authenticate.
