Business Development Specialist (Inside Sales)
Silex Technology America, Inc. is looking for a Business Development Specialist (Inside Sales) to join our team. The primary focus will be to provide technical sales and support to our customers. The position is office-based and requires someone who can excel in a fast-paced work environment who loves to serve customers, solve problems, and get work done.
The Business Development Specialist purpose is to support the sales team with the goal of achieving revenue targets in the assigned territory.
Responsibilities – what activities will be expected in the role
- Researching accounts, identifying key players within them, and generating interest
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through both inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting calls and emails
- Understanding customer needs and requirements and participating in solution selection
- Providing quotes and proposals
- Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development
- Acting as the primary sales point of contact for assigned accounts
- Assisting the sales team in select channel related activities
Qualifications and Requirements
- Two to three years of experience with inside sales is required
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical products
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM software
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 4 year college degree preferred
$50,000 - $60,000 - Salary is negotiable and commensurate with academic accomplishments, skill set, and experience.
