Human Resource Coordinator

 
Job Overview

We are looking to add a motivated Human Resource Coordinator with a strong work ethic for our office in Santa Ana, California.  As a full-time Human Resource Coordinator at Silex Technology America, you will report to the Director of Finance and Operations. You will be a front-line support completing administrative duties for the human resources department of the company. They assist with recruitment and onboarding, maintain employee records, assist with payroll processing, and provide administrative support to all employees. 

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Leads in the organization in the coordination of employee activities and events, as well as any support needed during the activities or events.
  • Evaluates the success of each activity, event, or outing and identifies opportunities for improvement in the future.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support for Human Resources
  • Assist in benefits enrollments
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Conduct onboarding orientations and support in preparation for separation meetings
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes
  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
  • Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files
  • Conduct company-wide payroll, provide payroll reports, and perform payroll audits
  • Administer health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Other duties as assigned
 Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Professional, enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player  
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills  
  • Can work well under pressure  
  • Self‐motivated, takes initiative, and willing to acquire new skills
  • Strong logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to issues as they arise
  • Preferred: PHR or SHRM certification
Location/Travel

You will report to our office in Santa Ana, California.

Pay Range

$20 - $23 an hour Full Time
