Hardware Engineer/Technical Project Manager

Job Description:

Silex Technology is a Japanese company. As a Hardware Engineer at Silex Technology America, you will be joining a small team of engineers in America to aid the team in a variety of ways. Main responsibilities will include the following: review of customers designs (schematic and layout) so that our products should work with them, creating work instructions for Operations and outside Certification labs, supporting the engineering team in doing other hardware related items. As a versatile hardware engineer with experience in working with embedded systems, you will become the hardware subject matter expert for all of Silex Technology America. 

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Work closely with cross functional teams to translate concepts and requirements of designs
  • Interface with the main team in Japan to stay abreast of new products/designs
  • Interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary alterations
  • Project planning and management, interfacing with both sales and engineering as well as outside certification labs

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Minimum of a bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from an accredited engineering college
  • 2-3 years engineering experience in a semiconductor, electronics or technology company
  • Proven ability to learn technical products
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: 
    - Hardware and embedded systems 
    - Radio Frequency and Wi-Fi
    - Certification Testing 
    - Fine-pitch soldiering  
    - Python/Scripting knowledge 
    - Windows/Linux OS installation a plus
