ThinClient USB Link Manager Environmental Settings


This page explains on the ThinClient USB Link Manager environmental settings.
Configure the settings on the server PC where the utility is installed or the client PC that will use DS-600.


Configure the environmental settings on Options of ThinClient USB Link Manager Setting.

Click Start - All Programs - ThinClient USB Link - ThinClient USB Link Manager Setting.

Click Options.

Configure the environmental settings for ThinClient USB Link Manager.

<General>

Administrative Password Configure the administrative password for ThinClient USB Link Manager.
This is the necessary setting. The password must be configured in 4-20 characters.
Refresh Interval Configure the interval to refresh information of the connected USB devices.
This value must be 10-300 sec.

<Search for devices>

Search Address Registers the broadcast addresses used to search for device servers over the network router.
Up to 64 addresses can be registered.
To register a broadcast address, enter the broadcast address into Search Address and click the Add button.
To remove an address, select it from the list and click the Delete button.

  • For example, to register "192.168.1.1" - "192.168.1.254" (Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0) addresses, enter "192.168.1.255" into the address field. 
    In the sample screen below, "192.168.1.255" and "192.168.2.255" are registered to include "192.168.1.1" - "192.168.1.254" and "192.168.2.1" - "192.168.2.254" (Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0) addresses for the device server search.


Use broadcast address (255.255.255.255) If this setting is checked, broadcast search is enabled on a local network. Usually, this setting is checked.

  • It is possible to search for a specific device by removing a check from this setting and registering the IP Address of that device.


Click OK when the configuration is completed.

The environmental setting has been configured for ThinClient USB Link Manager.
