EP-200Q-CB Interfaces

EP-200Q-CB with extended MIPI CSI interfaces for cameras

The EP-200Q-CB is the edge card form-factor SoM integrating the EP-200Q, SX-PCEBE, 2x2 Wi-Fi 7 and BLE combo wireless module, QPS615, PCI Express bridge IC and Ethernet PHY. Although the size and the connector type of the EP-200Q-CB are compatible with the SMARC, the pin assignment is optimized for the EP-200Q's capability.

This article describes more details of the pin assignment of the EP-200Q-CB with reference to the SMARC standard as well as additional interfaces available on the EP-200Q-CB.

SX-PECBE Wi-Fi 7 interface

The SX-PCEBE Wi-Fi module is implemented on the EP-200Q-CB. It has two MHF4 antenna connectors.

 

MIPI CSI FPC connectors

Three MIPI CSI connectors are available on the EP-200Q-CB. They are located on the other side of the edge connector.

  • CN3 on the EP-200Q-CB: 4-lane MIPI CSI (camera 2 interface of EP-200Q)
  • CN4 on the EP-200Q-CB: 4-lane MIPI CSI (camera 3 interface of EP-200Q)
  • CN5 on the EP-200Q-CB: 4-lane MIPI CSI (camera 4 interface of EP-200Q)

Main differences are as follows.

  • Unused Ethernet interface (GBE1) is repurposed for other functions.
  • Unused DisplayPort interface is repurposed for other functions.
  • LCD control I2C for LVDS is repurposed for another function.
  • Some USB interfaces are occupied for USB Type-C interface.
  • SATA interface is repurposed to SPI.
  • CAN interface is repurposed for USB Vbus.
  • Some battery related pins are repurposed for USB Vbus or 1.8V power rail.
  • SerDes interfaces are used for MIPI CSI to support two 4-lane MIPI CSI from the edge connector.
