Inside Sales Representative

 
Job Overview

As an Inside Salesperson at Silex Technology America, you will play a key role in the support of our customers. You will serve as the initial voice of Silex to new prospective customers and work to quickly qualify new opportunities. You will perform various support and admin responsibilities in support of our customers and the sales team. You may also serve as account manager on select accounts to help further offload the outside sales team.

This position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Be responsive and flexible to both our external and internal customers
Be organized and maintain accuracy and timeliness in admin related reporting

 

Job Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

 

1. Lead Management & Qualification
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for Silex to new prospective customers
  • Communicate, qualify, and follow up on all new incoming sales leads, from various sources, primarily via phone and email contact
  • Manage lead assignment responsibilities to ensure customers are routed to the appropriate sales and business development contacts.
  • Maintain and support outside sales team in qualification and renewal of Distribution and Rep Leads
  • Other support tasks/responsibilities to be defined by the territory manager



2. Sales Support & Admin Responsibilities

  • Provide Quotes and Proposals to customers
  • Enter and maintain accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, contracts and other pertinent information into Salesforce
  • Process sample requests, including purchase req, credit card or wire transfer/payment in advance orders
  • Administer Distribution/Channel Business
    • Track, maintain and respond to all distributor registration and renewal requests, working with outside sales to ensure requests are responded to quickly.
    • Manage and maintain the registration and debit log including renewal requests
  • Distribution / Rep Sales Support
    • Performing tasks as defined and determined by Outside Sales in support of Distribution or Rep engagements
  •  Channel Business Administration
    • Support various Channel Partners and take responsibility for overall channel revenue
    • Support projects through channel partners and ensure pricing is established where applicable
    • Work with Operations to maintain adequate inventory in the channel
    • Maintain and update channel partner websites
      • Add/Remove products as needed
      • Confirm product descriptions match our website
      • Keep lead time information updated (where applicable)
  • Solicit production forecast for material demand from customers on a monthly basis
  • Solicit purchase orders from customers on a monthly basis based on lead time, customer forecast and/or customer’s historical run rate

3. Account Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships as needed, with select customers, both at an engineering and supply chain level
  • Solicit production forecast for material demand from customers on a monthly basis
  • Solicit purchase orders from customers on a monthly basis based on lead time, customer forecast and/or customer’s historical run rate
  • Identify new opportunities or next generation designs within your assigned customer base
  • Ensure customer inquiries (including technical issues) are addressed in a timely manner
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in an inside sales role
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Four-year college degree preferred

Location

This is a full-time position located in Santa Ana, California. Silex Technology America has adopted a hybrid work schedule consisting of two days in office weekly (Tuesday and Thursday) and three days from home weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
