Focus Technologies Sales Manager

 

Job Overview

The Focus Technologies Sales Manager (FTSM) will be responsible for sales efforts targeting strategic products of growth for Silex. As currently defined, sales activities will be focused on growing our Network System Solution, HaLow and AMC Services Product families. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the FTSM collaborates with the VP of Sales and other stakeholders to identify and seize new opportunities, as well as devise market strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share. This position is focused on targeted activities to identify, qualify, and close new design wins within these focus product families. This position requires strong organization and communication skills, strategic thinking, the ability to be a self-starter in developing strategies for growth, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.

Job Responsibilities

Your valued contribution will include but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute plans to increase market share and revenue of Network System Solutions, HaLow, and AMC Services product families.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with OEM customers, either direct or through a network of distribution, rep and VAR/Integrator partners.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers and distributors, alerting them of new products and services.
  • Stay current with market trends and developments to ensure Silex is in position for success.
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of wireless devices or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Work with Marketing to develop strategies to increase revenue and market share of focus product families.
  • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the wireless industry at large.
  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and service agreements; prepare contracts and submit orders.
  • Provides sales and product forecast for customers on at minimum a 12-month rolling forecast.
  • Works with other members of the Silex Sales Organization to expand and grow Focus Product Families.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Computer Science, Electrical or Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
  • 5 years sales experience in a semiconductor, electronics, or technology company
  • OEM Sales experience either direct or through distribution partners
  • Experience selling HW and Software based solution
  • Experience selling a finished goods product

Location/Travel

You will report to our office in Santa Ana, California. This position primarily works in the company’s Orange County office, however, travel to visit customers, trade shows, industry events, and other team members is required for this position. Travel will mostly be within North America; however, some international travel may be required. Travel may be required up to 25-50% of the time.

Compensation

$80,000 - $120,000 plus commission. Salary and total compensation package are negotiable and commensurate with academic accomplishments, skill set and experience.
