i.MX 8 Target Applications
The i.MX 8 needs a connectivity device to match it’s processing prowess. The QCA6174-based module, SX-PCEAC2 is the perfect fit for i.MX for wireless connectivity. SX-PCEAC2 is a dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac module with bluetooth support, which is designed for devices that require wireless connectivity in a small form factor combined with high performance.

You can add Wi-Fi to your product with the Silex SX-PCEAC2 radio module. Using a PCI-Express interface, the SX-PCEAC2 can achieve links rates of 867 Mbps.
The SX-PCEAC2 brings with it three distinct advantages over the on-board Wi-Fi on the NXP EVK.
Size: The SX-PCEAC2 is the smallest, most integrated, cost effective QCA6174 radio module available. This includes all the RF circuitry out to the antenna connectors. Because of his high level of integration, the SX-PCEAC2 occupies about 1/3 of the real estate of the on-board radio module.
Modular Certification: The PCEAC2 comes pre-certified for North America, Europe, and Japan. This significantly reduces deployment cost, risk, and time to market. Silex offers certification services for other countries as well.
