Plug-and-play Wi-Fi enablement

The IM-100-SB incorporates all elements necessary for wireless functionality, including a processor, memory, and wireless LAN driver.

It connects to devices via a 34-pin Board to Board connector, reducing the effort required to design the device's main board and shortening development time for wireless embedded systems. It also operates independently of the device's OS, supporting various environments including Windows, Linux, RTOS, and devices running non-OS microcontrollers.

Serial-to-Wi-Fi Bridge 

Many legacy RS-232C-based devices can add wireless connectivity by integrating IM-100-SB via the serial interface. 

Enterprise security

IM-100-SB supports TLS encryption protocols for secure communication. It has secure authentication methods such as WPA/WPA3, Wi-Fi enterprise security, and Bluetooth LE secure connections.

Lower development costs and faster time to market

It has regulatory certifications for North America, Europe, and Japan. By designing the module to extend/expand memory outside the module, adding additional memory will not affect module certification.

Multiple antenna options

The IM-100-SB has a U.FL connector allowing customers to choose and connect their U.FL antenna directly to the module. It also provides an option to bypass the U.FL connector allowing customers to print antennas on their PCB connected directly to the module antenna trace. The modules are globally certified for use with a range of external antennas.
