Silex Technology America (STA) is proud to announce that longtime STA sales leader, Matthew Buckett, has been appointed to President on April 1, 2025. 

With over 14 years of industry experience–and more than a decade of dedicated service at STA–Matthew brings a wealth of experience, deep customer insight, and a proven track record of driving growth. As the Vice President of Sales at STA, he has been instrumental in expanding the business and strengthening customer partnerships across strategic accounts. His leadership in sales strategy, market expansion, and customer success positions him well to lead STA into its next phase of innovation and impact for the future.

Matthew succeeds Keith Sugawara, who has served as CEO & President of STA since 2017. Keith has been an integral part of the Silex family for nearly 20 years, leading with vision, integrity, and a focus on building long-term strategic and community partnerships. Under his leadership, STA experienced significant business growth, and became an industry leader known for its exceptional quality, reliability, and support. 

Keith will continue to support global growth in his new role as Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, with a focus on expanding our presence in medical and healthcare applications. He will also remain a key part of our leadership as an Executive Member of the STA Board of Directors.

As Matthew steps into his new role as President, we’re excited for what lies ahead. His strategic vision, deep industry knowledge, and customer-first mindset position STA to continue delivering reliable connectivity solutions and fostering enduring relationships with our customers and partners.
