The Silex DS-700 enables USB devices to be accessed over a network without requiring a direct USB connection to the host computer. When used with the Yubico YubiHSM 2, the DS-700 provides a flexible way to access USB-based cryptographic hardware over a network and integrate it into compatible virtualized environments.
By connecting a USB hub to the DS-700's USB 2.0 port, users can also connect multiple USB devices, including YubiHSM 2 units, for supported configurations and use cases.
The Silex DS-510 was vetted and verified by the Yubico team. Its interoperability with YubiHSM 2 was tested with Windows 10 physical hardware and virtual servers running Windows Server 2019 or 2016 on VMware ESXi. Testing demonstrated that the DS-510 functioned as if the YubiHSM 2 were connected directly to a USB port.
The DS-700 replaces the DS-510 and is compatible with the YubiHSM 2.
Silex USB Device Servers and SX-Virtual Link software help simplify USB device connectivity in virtualized environments. The software automatically discovers supported Silex USB Device Servers on the network and lists connected USB devices, including supported devices connected through a USB hub. Users can check device availability and request access to a specific USB device.

The Silex DS-700 is a USB 3.0 Device Server designed to securely connect and share USB devices across your LAN, WAN, and the Internet. Supported applications include hardware security modules (HSMs), license dongles, printers, scanners, disk drives, and card readers.Optimized for Microsoft-based cloud applications and Citrix, VMware, and Hyper-V environments, the DS-700 allows USB devices to be placed anywhere on the network without requiring a direct connection to a host computer. Security features, including IP address filtering, port protection, and PID/VID device filtering, help control access to connected devices. Multiple users can also share the same device.The DS-700 is compatible with hardware security module (HSM) solutions such as the Yubico YubiHSM 2.

The Silex DS-700AC is designed to connect and share USB devices over a wireless network easily. Printers, scanners, disk drives, card readers, or virtually any other USB device can now be enabled with wireless network connectivity. It allows flexibility to place the USB device anywhere on the network instead of being attached directly to the computer, and multiple users can access the USB device.
