One of the exciting new trends that was buzzing at CES, is the continued emergence surrounding the Internet of Things (IoT).  While the term was first coined in 2009, there continues to be recognition that connecting devices to the Internet wirelessly could transform daily life.  USA Today identified “The Connected Home” as one of five trends to watch and Cisco Systems Inc. Chairman and CEO John Chambers predicted the Internet of Things would be a $19 trillion market over the next several years in his keynote address. Qualcomm’s Connected SmartHome tour allowed you to experience the Internet of Things.  Thanks to a seamless network of interoperable devices (ranging from an August Smart Lock, a Haier Air Conditioner to a Card Access Wine Protection Service and more), Qualcomm is at the center of the Internet of Things ecosystem.  View the video below to get a virtual tour of Qualcomm’s Connected Home! Our homes, our cars, and the things around us are getting smarter every day. AllJoyn™ is the open source project that lets the compatible smart things around us recognize each other and share resources and information across brands, networks, and operating systems.  Initially developed by Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc., AllJoyn is now hosted as an open source project and available for download at AllSeen Alliance.  For more information, go to [www.allseenalliance.org](http://www.allseenalliance.org). ![AllJoyn](https://www.silextechnology.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/AllJoyn-300x122.jpg?width=397&height=145&name=AllJoyn-300x122.jpg) Silex Technology sees great opportunity in providing ultra-low power Wi-Fi solutions. With our existing relationship with Qualcomm Atheros, Silex is able to access industry leading technology to provide solutions to enable Internet of Things connectivity.  Look for exciting new product announcements in the near future from Silex Technology.   Share Topics -
