Ultimate Customer Service
I have been visiting Japan for 30 years and I am still amazed by the Japanese commitment to service. This philosophy is also part of the Silex Technology culture and I hope that our North American customers can see part of our Japan heritage in how we do business. But let me share my most recent experience.
I was in Taiwan on Friday so I had the weekend in Japan before starting quarterly review meetings next week. Even though it is quite hot and humid, I decided to spend my Sunday morning going for a hike. I found a trail in the area but promptly got lost. I stopped two young guys who were walking the other direction for their help. They didn’t speak English but I followed them as it was clear that they were going to show the way. They took me up a mountain for 4 miles until I reached my destination…GansenjiTemple! I have seen a lot of other temples but there was something special about getting there after a 2 hour hike with a 2,000 foot elevation climb! I will also be grateful to my Japanese friends for the memories that I would like to share with you below.
