InfoComm 2013 - Silex Wireless Digital Signage and Interactive Display Connectivity

InfoComm 2013 Silex Booth #5559 at InfoComm 2013

Last week, we exhibited at InfoComm 2013.  It was a trade show in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center targeted towards Pro AV (digital signage, education, commercial, etc.) dealers, installers, and end customers.

It was an ideal place to introduce our X-5 product to the market for wireless digital signage to go along with our press release. We had three mobile TV mounts with 39" displays connected with our X-5 wireless digital signage receivers. We showed off different contents on each display using the X-5 Store-and-Play function. When customers visited our booth, we were able to show them the included Media Transporter software for organizing the playback schedule, encoding the software, and sending the contents to the local storage connected to each X-5 receiver. Then we connected a video source to the transmitter on the same wireless network, each screen would automatically change to show synchronized Full HD video and audio among all the screens at the same time. This showed off the advantages of our X-5 wireless digital signage system nicely.

rAVe Publications, a ProAV media outlet, asked us to talk about our X-5 product and shot us on video:

In addition, we showcased our SX-ND4050G product for wireless interactive display connectivity. We demonstrated two interactive touch screen displays in our booth showing the collaboration application. We had a 20" touch screen connected directly to a laptop, and a 70" touch screen connected wirelessly using our SX-ND4050G. You could write on either one using your hand and it would show up on the other screen.

Both our X-5 and our SX-ND4050G were well received by visitors to our booth and they were impressed with the ability to display Full 1080p contents with a high frame rate over a wireless connection using the 802.11n standard.

It was a successful show for Silex and we will consider going again next year.
